Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

Smidgy is built local-first: your tasks live on your device, and we collect as little as technically possible. This policy explains exactly what leaves your phone and why.

1. No accounts

Smidgy has no user accounts. We don't know your name, e-mail address or phone number. The app generates a random device identifier (a UUID) used solely for rate limiting of AI requests and for matching your subscription status.

2. Data stored on your device

Your tasks, steps, routines, focus sessions, statistics and settings are stored in a local database on your device only. You can export them as a file or permanently delete them at any time from Settings → Your data. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.

3. Data that leaves your device

4. What we don't do

5. Service providers

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Because your content stays on your device, you exercise most rights directly in the app: export your data (Settings → Export data) and erase it (Settings → Delete all data). For anything related to the minimal server-side data (the anonymous usage counter), contact us and include your device identifier where possible at support@smidgy.app.

7. Children

Smidgy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly process their data.

8. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.

Smidgy is a productivity tool designed with ADHD brains in mind. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
